Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 24, 2026

This explains what Wholechart collects, why, and what rights you have over it. If you just want the short version: we collect your birth details to compute your readings, we don't sell your data, and you can delete everything from the app at any time.

1. Who we are

Plain languageThis policy covers the Wholechart app.

This Privacy Policy explains how Wholechart ("Wholechart," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Wholechart mobile app (the "App").

2. What we collect

Plain languageYour email, your birth date/time/location, your journal entries, and your subscription status. That's the core of it.

CategoryWhat it includesWhy
AccountEmail address, authentication credentialsSign-in and account security
Birth dataBirth date, time, and location (resolved to coordinates)Computing your astrology, BaZi, and numerology charts
Journal contentReflections and alignment notes you saveShowing you your own history and trends
Subscription statusWhether you have Wholechart Pro, and which planUnlocking the features you've paid for

What we do NOT collect: we do not collect or store your payment card number, bank details, or government ID — those are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We do not collect precise, continuously-tracked device location — only the birth location you manually type in for chart calculation. We do not access your contacts, photos, or other apps on your device.

3. How we use it

Plain languageTo run the app for you, not to advertise to you.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your birth data or journal content to build advertising profiles or target ads.

4. Who we share it with

Plain languageOnly the handful of service providers that make the app work — never for their own marketing.

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the App, each acting as a data processor on our behalf, bound to protect your data:

ProviderWhat it handles
SupabaseAccount authentication and database storage (birth data, journal entries, chart data)
Google (Geocoding API)Converts the birth location you type into coordinates for chart calculation
RevenueCatSubscription status and entitlement management
Apple / GooglePayment processing for subscriptions, through App Store / Play Store billing
ResendSending account-related email (verification, password reset)

We do not sell personal information, and under CCPA/CPRA terms, we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising either — so there is currently no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" opt-out needed, since we don't do either. If that changes, we'll update this policy and add the required opt-out.

5. Retention & deletion

Plain languageWe keep your data while your account is active. Delete your account and it's gone.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account from within the App, your birth data, journal entries, and chart data are deleted from our active systems. Residual copies may persist briefly in backups before they age out through routine backup rotation.

6. Your privacy rights

Plain languageYou can see, correct, export, or delete your data at any time — most of this you can do yourself in the app.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the App (account settings → delete account), or by contacting us at the email in Section 11.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we've collected about you, to request its deletion, to correct inaccuracies, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Because we don't sell or share personal information, there is no sale/share opt-out to exercise. Your birth date and the birth location you type in are ordinary personal information under CPRA, not "sensitive personal information" — we don't collect device-tracked precise geolocation.

EU/UK users (GDPR). Your birth date and birth location are ordinary personal data, not a GDPR "special category." Your journal entries are handled with extra care since free-text reflections can incidentally touch on sensitive topics. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Children's privacy

Plain languageWholechart isn't for children under 13, and our Terms require users to be 17+.

Wholechart is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Our Terms of Service additionally require users to be at least 17. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at the email in Section 11 and we will delete it.

8. Cookies & tracking

Plain languageThe app doesn't use advertising trackers.

The Wholechart mobile app does not use third-party advertising trackers or cross-app tracking SDKs. This website (wholechart.app) does not set tracking cookies.

9. Security & where data is stored

Plain languageWe use encryption and access controls, but no system is 100% secure.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage and row-level access controls on all user data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

Plain languageWe'll tell you before any material changes take effect.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the App or by email before they take effect.

11. Contact
